Somewhere, yet….. Nowhere

On A Foreign Mission Field

Many days I don’t even know how I feel—I mean when you are just kinda “lost” but not lost-
Just that you don’t belong anywhere- like nothing is real, or like you are just in a dream or more like when you are reading a book you get lost in the other world and when you stop reading you realize you are somewhere else- nothing or no one seems to matter— or like everyone is just playing a role- pretending
or actually only being whatever they need to be- not really connected to you- just people in a story- you long for the “used to be’ to reconnect yourself to what you thought life was- when you try to make what “is” what “was” in hopes of gaining back who you were but you find that doesn’t work either——- what you thought was—really wasn’t—I mean I guess in certain ways it is still but not really—life goes on, things change- -people’s focus and priorities change and you don’t fit where you once did—— or, well, actually you’ve changed— and the place you are, is in between there and here
The “was”………….. “isn’t”
You just do….
and the “is” .. doesn’t exist-
Seeking and longing for a connection, some glimmer of like-mindedness-
Only to find yourself “Somewhere” and yet…. Nowhere—-

I come back today and adding to my previous thoughts….
A scripture was brought to my mind as I was traveling down the road looking at the roadside and something just hit me like, wow. Maybe that’s it, maybe that is a little bit of what Christ means when He says,
“those who lose yourself for my sake shall find it.”
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross,
and follow me.
and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Maybe this is what God is wanting me to realize. I don’t feel I belong because where I am trying to fit doesn’t exist anymore. That part of me that I thought was me is fading. In whatever ways I want to regain it only brings emptiness– it is an inward struggle to let go of the being of what was…… and just be what is ————–

Our Motive for Service

We need to ask ourselves if our service to God is selfish or selfless. So many of us need to have some sort of self pleasing attribute to our serving or giving. If we don’t “feel” anything then we don’t do anything. We even choose our church by what they have to offer us. Not by what we might can offer them. Use what God has given you to serve and be obedient to Him and you will not have time to think about what you “feel”.

Remember, it isn’t about YOU; it is about serving others through your obedience to Him. We exist to bring glory to God .

Just saying…..

Here is another bible lesson upload for you to consider. Thanks for your time. Feedback welcomed

Will we not be Afraid?

Every day we have a decision to make on which direction we will go. We can choose to remain in our safe abode of the known letting the fear of the unknown stagnate us or we can choose to rest in the promise of God. When you compare anything which may cause us to doubt or fear to the greatness of God and His power, we would have to feel a little childish in our faith don’t you think?

As born again believers of Christ, God has promised us life to the fullest. We only need to decide to get up and take hold of it.

Fear is a normal human behavior, however it is not given to us by God. As 2 Timothy 1:7 states “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”

I believe God has created within each one of us a purpose to claim for their own. We must succumb to follow His guidance and be obedient to His call. I am in awe of the enormous things that God can accomplish through even one small act of one’s obedience.

Fear has held many people back from fulfilling their purpose and retrieving their blessings.   Don’t let fear hold you back – trust in God!

Jesus admonishes against fear in these verses:

Matthew 10:26-31
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

If we keep our focus on Christ and the things that are unseen, we should be more able to Take our Stand for Christ and Follow Him in obedience.

Thank you all for taking time to read and listen to the study. May we all grow closer in our walk with Christ. Striving daily to become the person who reflects the God who calls us to himself.

Does God Ever Misguide?

Many times we may not understand why God is telling us to do certain things. We may even question Him in asking “Are you sure, God?”. It is best for us to not believe that God is mistaken in what He says. If our life is to bring honor and glory to God then we must realize that our disobedience will only bring Him dishonor. We should not put our view of the situation above God’s direct conviction thinking that we have a better idea of how things should happen. Surrendering our lives to Jesus means that we must step out in faith even if we do not understand the complete picture or intended outcome.

In the book of John chapter 11 verses 7-8, the disciples are confronted with this same dilemma.

John:7-8 “Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?”

Jesus had recently faced much hatred in Judea as much to the point of the people trying to kill Him. The disciples were frightened for His and their own safety. They question Jesus about the return. Jesus answers them with reassurance that while He is with them and they are obeying the will of God, nothing will happen to them that God does not ordain. We must also remember that truth.

I have been adding a bible study video within these posts to further the insight in which hopefully we can gain from the Word. These studies and this page is intended to bring us all a little closer to our Lord in our daily walk. Please feel free to give feedback and join in the journey to encourage and help each other. Thank you all for reading and listening. May God give us understanding.
