God’s Undefinable Gift of Love

During this time of year which we call Christmas Holidays, in which we as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ. (whether this be pleasing to God or not). let us remember that it wasn’t the birth of the Lord, although deserving of all glory and praise, that is the most significant aspect. It is the end of His journey as a man walking the earth that brings all hearts to God. If the death and resurrection of Jesus never came to pass, then we would never have opportunity to experience life eternal with God the Father. It is this belief in which we must have in Him. That He alone has the ability to offer the sacrifice for remission of sin. That He alone could die and be raised in everlasting glory. It is only because of His grace towards us that this possible. Stated in Ephesians 2:5-8 “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved), And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift from God:”

It isn’t earned by anything we do. It’s not by our good works or kind actions: Ephesians 2:9 “Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Jesus’ death on the cross paid the debt we owed and made a way for us to be with Him in eternity. John 3:16-18 “For God so love the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

It is because of this sacrifice we are able to have peace with God. Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”

God’s grace is oh so wonderful and surpasses all of our comprehension. The Love in which God has for those who will trust in Christ and Follow Him, denying ourselves and the desires for this world and seek His will is undefinable.

May we find rest in Him, through the debt that was paid….

Thanks for your time..

May God Be Glorified through Us

Only by The Spirit of God

The only thing that will work to bring us back into a right position with God is through the power of the Holy Spirit. Everything else, no matter how honorable or splendid, is dead if it does not contain the power of the Holy Spirit.

All things which we are to learn from scripture is ultimately calling us back from Satan, the flesh and the world, to full surrender, dependance and obedience to God.

True love towards God is only brought to us through the Holy Spirit.

We must pray for the Spirit to indwell us and guide us, helping us to know the one true God.

We must allow the Holy Spirit to control our thoughts and actions.

We must surrender to the convictions the Spirit impresses on us.

Depend on this leadership daily and see the transformation of our lives as we become more Christ like with our total will falling under subjection to God’s control.

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—

Isaiah 11:2

Losing Focus

I sometimes feel discouraged these days. The ways of the world bearing down on every avenue of humanity. By that I mean the world that we as Christians are not to be a part. “Be in the world but not of the world”.

The discouragement coming more from professing Christians continuing to seek the world. People everywhere always seem to be searching and seeking for more and different. There seems to be no contentment anywhere. Is there no real belief and trust in God. Do we not believe that ALL things are in His control? Have hearts and eyes been taken off the ultimate goal of life. which is that we are here on this earth for the purpose of bringing God glory. So would it be so bold as to state that many so-called believers are not truly seeking to honor God with their lives, but instead to please their own fleshly desires. In our own selfish thinking that if only things were different, if only I was somewhere else, if only this, if only that, if only,. etc., etc….. The grass always seems greener on the other side. Do we not truly trust God in His knowing what is best for each of us. We are all separate individuals with separate pathways ordained by God. Stop giving into the draw of the world’s deceptions and things it is offering.

Maybe we need to be reminded to stop chasing after things that only satisfy the flesh and refocus our eyes on Christ and on the true purpose of our life on this earth. Stop making mockery of the statement that we Trust In God and His control in our life. He has purpose and reason for our circumstances.

I remember a song from childhood about being grumbly hateful or humbly grateful, which one are you?

Thank you for listening……

May we all continue to seek and serve,

Being the Influence

So it is that we should live unto Christ that our Joy may be Full.,

As children of God, we are to represent Him to the world. This representation is to live in such a way so it will bring others to Christ and that they may join us in the life of Joy. We should realize that only through our obedience to the will of God will we ever truly find the life which God intends for us.

How To Feel Real, Alive, Useful.

What does it take to feel Human? What is required? To feel real, alive, useful; like you have a purpose and that your purpose matters, but matters to who? whose opinion do you care about? Your own, your family, friends, or God’s? In order to refocus and isolate what it is that makes you feel real, alive and purposeful, you must determine what it is you were created for( in a big picture kind of way) and then break it down into bite size pieces of daily, monthly, yearly goals of life purpose.

  1. Who created you? – God
  2. Why did He choose to make you the way you are? God doesn’t make mistakes so don’t apologize for being yourself.
  3. What is God’s purpose for your life? Big picture- to honor Him, break it down into lots of different purposes throughout every day. Each purposeful choice should revolve around the big picture of honoring God.
  4. What makes you happy? Knowing that you have made your decisions based on honoring God you know that that, is your purpose and that that, is all God asks of you, nothing more than you can handle and nothing less than true purpose
  5. What are the most important things in life? God, To Love God, To Love others as God loves you. Seeking ways to show God’s love to others = Honoring God

So how can I show God’s love to others:

Today-

This week-

This month-

This year-

How can I honor God?

Love others, study to learn more of God, teach others what you learn, help people see God by example.

If the life you are living has been made up of dishonoring choices to God- this is why you feel conflicted or useless or without a purpose.

And if your life choices have been honorable to God don’t forget your true calling. YOUR true purpose. Remember who you are and why you are here. If there are changes to be made, make them. Do what it takes to know that the life you choose is one that has a purpose, and that purpose is to honor God. The rest of your life starts now.

Our Motive for Service

We need to ask ourselves if our service to God is selfish or selfless. So many of us need to have some sort of self pleasing attribute to our serving or giving. If we don’t “feel” anything then we don’t do anything. We even choose our church by what they have to offer us. Not by what we might can offer them. Use what God has given you to serve and be obedient to Him and you will not have time to think about what you “feel”.

Remember, it isn’t about YOU; it is about serving others through your obedience to Him. We exist to bring glory to God .

Just saying…..

Here is another bible lesson upload for you to consider. Thanks for your time. Feedback welcomed

Will we not be Afraid?

Every day we have a decision to make on which direction we will go. We can choose to remain in our safe abode of the known letting the fear of the unknown stagnate us or we can choose to rest in the promise of God. When you compare anything which may cause us to doubt or fear to the greatness of God and His power, we would have to feel a little childish in our faith don’t you think?

As born again believers of Christ, God has promised us life to the fullest. We only need to decide to get up and take hold of it.

Fear is a normal human behavior, however it is not given to us by God. As 2 Timothy 1:7 states “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”

I believe God has created within each one of us a purpose to claim for their own. We must succumb to follow His guidance and be obedient to His call. I am in awe of the enormous things that God can accomplish through even one small act of one’s obedience.

Fear has held many people back from fulfilling their purpose and retrieving their blessings.   Don’t let fear hold you back – trust in God!

Jesus admonishes against fear in these verses:

Matthew 10:26-31
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

If we keep our focus on Christ and the things that are unseen, we should be more able to Take our Stand for Christ and Follow Him in obedience.

Thank you all for taking time to read and listen to the study. May we all grow closer in our walk with Christ. Striving daily to become the person who reflects the God who calls us to himself.

Does God Ever Misguide?

Many times we may not understand why God is telling us to do certain things. We may even question Him in asking “Are you sure, God?”. It is best for us to not believe that God is mistaken in what He says. If our life is to bring honor and glory to God then we must realize that our disobedience will only bring Him dishonor. We should not put our view of the situation above God’s direct conviction thinking that we have a better idea of how things should happen. Surrendering our lives to Jesus means that we must step out in faith even if we do not understand the complete picture or intended outcome.

In the book of John chapter 11 verses 7-8, the disciples are confronted with this same dilemma.

John:7-8 “Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?”

Jesus had recently faced much hatred in Judea as much to the point of the people trying to kill Him. The disciples were frightened for His and their own safety. They question Jesus about the return. Jesus answers them with reassurance that while He is with them and they are obeying the will of God, nothing will happen to them that God does not ordain. We must also remember that truth.

I have been adding a bible study video within these posts to further the insight in which hopefully we can gain from the Word. These studies and this page is intended to bring us all a little closer to our Lord in our daily walk. Please feel free to give feedback and join in the journey to encourage and help each other. Thank you all for reading and listening. May God give us understanding.

The Words We Speak:

Do They Really Matter? and If So, Then to Whom?

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Let the words of my mouth be for your pleasure, and the meditation of my heart before you, LORD JEHOVAH, my helper and my Savior.

The words we speak as well as the words we choose not to speak can have an excessively big impact on the people around us. It can be said the spoken word once spoken can never be taken back. It may be forgiven but not forgotten.  The harm of negative and hurtful words has lasting effects.  We all can probably think of something once said to you and it has stayed with you throughout life.

As well as thinking back and knowing a time when you should have said something but chose to remain silent.  That opportunity may never again be afforded to us.  A blessing lost. A soul not touched.

May we seek the grace of our Lord when we have issues concerning our words.

Thanks for listening…..

May we all continue to seek and to serve

In His Love,

Lisa
