May we diligently aspire to walk in the way of righteousness.
May we have eyes to see; ears to hear; hearts to serve.
May we long for our will to be to do God’s will.
To hunger to know more of God-
To taste the abundance He is offering.
To increase our awareness of His calling in our life. Rest in His presence and find comfort in His indwelling of our hearts.
May we each surrender to Him each and every moment of our days.
Abide in Him.
Allow Him to have complete control. Only then will we ever find true freedom.
Or will we choose to continue in our lack of understanding and question God on every turn. Doubting the ways of the Lord and the things He has chosen for us. I am posting the link for a bible study considering this topic. I pray for the Spirit to help with understanding and lead hearts to Him.
As we draw closer to the days in which we reflect on the last days of Jesus, I am wondering if we may ever truly understand the magnitude of what Jesus, the Son of God endured. He will ultimately experience and complete the very purpose in which He was born. Jesus, The Christ, will take our place on the cross of Calvary. By surrendering unto the will of God the Father, Jesus will win the victory over death, hell, and the grave. Thus securing the way for every individual that heeds to the Spirit and accepts Jesus Christ as personal savior. By trusting in the very work of Jesus and believing that He is The Only Way to God in Heaven. As Christ himself declares:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
I am posting the third bible study at this time; I do pray God will use these words to help draw us closer to Him as we continue in our daily walk toward the purpose in which we have been chosen.
I hope all is well as we draw closer to this upcoming celebration of Christmas Day. It is a been a crazy world these past months, but rest in the knowledge that we can have blessed assurance that everything is in control of God and He will bring all things to completion in His timing. May we all truly Glorify God from hearts of understanding that He who came to earth as a baby is the same He who reigns on High today!
I am posting the second bible study. Please remember that it is intended for the purpose of drawing us a little closer to God in our daily walk. In a very informal and technically amature way.
I have been conducting bible studies across the way with my CrossWay Family and Cotton Tree MBC Ladies Group. I have recently been asked and decided to post them on this page for others. I pray that the words will be used in someway to bring you a little closer to God in your daily walk. Please leave suggestions and or comments as you feel. Remember that these were recorded as an informal bible study shared among Sisters in Christ .
The lessons progress with my trial and error learning. I adapted more of the verses being typed into the lessons which will appear in the next lessons.
That being said, we will begin with Lesson 1…………..
"But as for me an my house, we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24:14
As we go through this week lets be mindful of the moments when we praise God for who He is. Like the things that bring you to the “my God is Awesome” thought.
As I look upon the dragonfly on the flower blossom and I see the beauty of nature and all the intricate details that are involved I cannot contain the Joy and Praise in my heart thanking God for allowing us to share in His creation. I also love seeing the power of God in the midst of the storm knowing He has all power to bring it to stillness with only His word.
Let us consider the many reasons we have to praise God. Why He deserves our worship. Not only the fact that He is the Great I Am, and creator of all! But, the many things God has done for you and brought you through.
Not that we owe Him because of what He has done for us, but just to make us aware of all that He does.
To not be able to see, but to trust the one who can.
If we are to live a life on a higher plane which is governed by the principles of the gospel so we at some point might hear that ‘Well done..’, we must determine to live a life of faith. We must resist the temptations which so easily take us off the pathway of our journey. We must lay aside all things which hinder us. Each one of us will have our own set of temptations and battles seemingly to be custom made. The stone which causes your neighbor to stumble may not effect you at all.
We must surrender to God’s control and know that whatever He chooses for us is made to grow us and to bring us into a closer walk with Him. To yield to the Spirit , to give Him full control of our daily walk in this life will be the most freeing feeling one can experience. To totally know that the Creator of all things has full control. We should seek to be controlled by the same principles that controlled Christ’s life on earth.
Supreme love to God and love for our neighbor that outweighs our love for self
“We should always give thanks to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13
In the daily discouragements we see in the godliness of those who know not God, we seldom forget to recall to remembrance the many others who have chosen to remain faithful to their calling to serve God. It is uplifting to see God’s grace at work in their lives. We must not dwell on the negative allowing it to diminish the positive influence we see by God’s children.
God has chosen from the beginning to save the lost.
We are Chosen By God Unto Salvation!
Being set apart unto the works of His calling. Yielding self-will unto God’s will. Placing all hope and confidence in believing and trusting in God’s wisdom and provision. Obeying the gospel and seeking to become like Christ.
Allowing to be led by the Spirit. Choosing to live the life which God is calling us to. Only then we are able to fully find the true Joy of our Salvation.
‘Happiness is to Know the Saviour, Living a life within His favor,
Those who can be taught should be taught. Those who can be warned should be warned. However, some will resist the truth no matter how it is presented. Such people just leave alone. People will always reject the truth. They would rather believe the deceiving lies. We do not have to look hard to find false doctrine. We must stay with the scriptures and preach the truth. The scriptures will speak for themselves.
